Clutha Valley Primary

A WARM welcome back to CLUTHA VALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL (CVPS).

Based in Clydevale, CVPS were the first school we visited in our "Shedding Light on the Night" - Participatory Science Platform (PSP) pilot project. We had the most exciting and exhausting two days back in March with these fantastic folk. We jumped in boots and all and the whole school 115 students from years 1 & 2 right through to the seniors in years 7 & 8 joined in with MothNet.
We were amazed at the genuine excitement these kids brought to the project. A lot of preparation went in to planning for our visit with the teachers bringing moths into reading and writing and every aspect of the curriculum at every level. Clutha Valley Primary made us realize how hard primary school teaching is - and how fantastic primary school teachers can be.

Clutha Valley Primary School introduced us to Peer Deck - a very cool school with a neat facebook page.

It's going to be fantastic to have Clutha Valley back as experienced Tuākana as we launch our new guides and look at Moth Diversity and Vegetation restoration.
